cultural and historical clues for your genealogy research. For example,
part of their timeline:
1829 Patent for tin bearings for machinery, which allowed faster running.
This opened more market for tin.
1830 Cholera outbreaks in Cornwall. Population reduction.
1838 Tin coinage abolished.
1840 Potato crop fails. Famine threatens.
1849 Gold discovered in California. Emigration of miners because Cornwall
was a pool of great skill. Emigration agents targetted the area.
